My OneWord365 for 2014

My OneWord365 for 2014 is SURRENDER.  After last years word Intimacy this is a very fitting word that the Lord gave me for 2014.

Full definition of Surrender:  Verb

to agree to stop fighting, hiding, resisting, etc. because you know that you will not win or succeed

to give the control or use of (something: Myself) to someone else: Jesus Christ

to allow something (such as a habit or desire:Jesus Christ) to influence or control you

Transitive Verb:
1 a - to yield to the power, control, or possession of another (Jesus Christ) upon compulsion or demand.
   b - to give up completely or agree to forgo especially in favor of another (Jesus Christ)

2 a - to give oneself up into the power of another (Jesus Christ) especially as a prisoner
   b - to give oneself over to something as an influence (Jesus Christ)

Intransitive Verb:
to give oneself up into the power of another: yield

It's going to be a GREAT year!

Hi Paige, Surrender is my word for this year too. I see that we both went to the meaning of surrender. I did some more research after I posted my blog…when I confessed I didn't know where to start the Lord brought me to Abraham and Isaac. I don't know exactly how I'm going to surrender; I've been holding onto so much for so long but I'm confident that He has more for me so I'm looking forward to a year of transformation.
